Time doesn’t heal all wounds

Time doesn’t heal all wounds

It just teaches us to carry them differently

In the hunch of your shoulders

The weight of your sighs

The way your laughter

Never quite reaches your eyes

You become a master of disguise

Pretending the ache is gone

That the scar doesn’t throb

Because the world doesn’t stop for the wounded

No, time doesn’t erase the memories

The weight of heartbreak

Of disappointment

Of dreams that shattered before they even began

But it teaches us to keep moving

To keep breathing

To keep living

Even when the hurt never really fades
